Try an example question

Does our 48V e-scooter pack need an EU battery passport?

Yes. A 48V e-scooter pack is a light means of transport (LMT) battery, so it needs a digital battery passport for every unit sold in the EU from 18 February 2027.

From your vault: your UN 38.3 report is valid, but there is no EN 50604-1 safety report for this model yet. You will also need material and origin data from your supplier.

  • EU Reg. 2023/1542, Art. 77
  • UN38.3_Report_48V.pdf · p. 1
  • Supplier request · pending

Why a battery-focused assistant

Built for battery questions, not general chat.

General chatbots guess when questions get technical. Energy Copilot is being built for the work your quality and engineering teams actually do.

  • Focused on batteries and power

Designed around battery chemistries, cell and pack design, BMS, power electronics, test standards and battery regulations — not general internet chat.

  • Early access

Copilot is still being built. Tell us how your team would use it and we'll invite you as access opens up.

  • Answers you can check

Designed to point every answer to its source — the page in your test report or the article in the regulation.

  • Knows your products

Designed to read the documents in your vault, so answers are about your packs, not batteries in general.

What you can ask

From regulations to cell data.

Compliance

  • “Does this pack need an EU battery passport?”
  • “Which rules apply if we start selling in Germany?”
  • “What do we need from our supplier to apply for BIS?”

Testing & certification

  • “Summarise this UN 38.3 report and flag any failed tests.”
  • “Which IEC 62619 tests does our 5 kWh unit still need?”
  • “When do our certificates expire?”

Engineering

  • “Why is one cell group running hotter in this thermal test?”
  • “LFP or NMC for a 48V swappable 3W pack?”
  • “Explain the capacity fade in this cycle-life report.”

Suppliers & data

  • “Which cell supplier data is still missing for the passport?”
  • “Draft a data request to our cell supplier.”
  • “Compare datasheets from two cell suppliers.”

Energy Copilot helps your team work faster. It does not replace accredited labs, notified bodies or legal advice — always confirm critical decisions.
